More illo's

Well, if you got the new Friend magazine for July, you'll see some more of my illustrations. This one was for a story called " The invisible Visitor".

I wasn't too thrilled to see it, since the quality of my work wasn't that awesome- however I'm ok with it because I know why the quality wasn't superb:

A. I was working on it until 3 am in the morning then my water broke.... Had baby...
B. Finished it about 1 week after having a C-section.... and a new crying baby who demanded a lot of my attention.... Won't do that again if I've got a close due date.....

Congratulations on the baby! I think these are wonderful. I know we all look at our art with a critical eye, but these are very nice. The faces are so expressive and the clothing is just perfect. Love the patterns on the clothing a lot. I want to do more of that. It's hard to carry off as it can become busy. . .yours is perfect.

I think these are beautiful and to find out you did them just before and after having a baby makes them even more amazing! I saw them in the Friend magazine and immediately went to my computer to see more of your work! Fantastic!

Congratulations Jen, on your new baby and being in the friend. I hope you'll be able to juggle both of your loves! It's tough, but it's possible. Keep up the good work!
