I love the texture of the blackboard and the chalk!!! Can i be nosy and ask how you did them?? And yes, it is because I want to steal them from you!! LOL!!
Honestly, it's all just experimentation for me. I used a random texture brush, it was some "watercolor" brush. I like Nigel Series brushes. If you google for Nigel Series watercolor you can download them. I just sort of messed around with them :) (I also make a texture background for it with random brushes)

Wow! Really great piece. I am at awe of the coloring, especially on the chalk board.

These are great pieces, Jennifer!! and I love the colors you're choosing. I'm always having trouble with my palette.
