quick color studies

I think it's called laziness, these were done in seconds because I kind of don't like this part of the process . I usually like to just get a general idea of the color rather that make it extremely nice like most people do, but if you have an opinion let me know what you favorite color study is. :)

Hi Jennifer,

My eye is drawn to the girl in green. Which one are you leaning towards? Cute drawing!

I am coming up for a breather after about 3 months. . .almost done with 3 tight deadlines.

It's wonderful to see that other have their impatient part of illustrating too.

I am drawn to the girl in the green. The colors are wonderful!!

Oops. . .I also wanted to say that the whole illustration is so wonderful. I love the feel and softness.

I like the way the middle tone of the hair of the girl in green doesn't 'compete' with the contrast of the darker dragon, making the dragon more of a focal point. Not so much the color, as the tonal contrast.

Well Roberta,
I think the ones I'm kind of leaning towards would be the girl with the dark hair and brown dress at the very top and I do like the green dress with the redish hair, I think I will still fool around just a little more to come to a finished conclusion maybe combining the green dress with dark hair or something might be cool. Sorry guys I should've numbered them! oops :

My favorite is the girl with blonde hair. The lighter hair brings out the details in her face, lightens the entire drawing up and provides a greater contrast between the girl and the dragon. The dragon is also more prominent in that drawing.

I like the one in the middle row to the right. Now that I'm reading the other comments, it looks like others do too. I think it's because the reddish hair complements nicely with the green dress, and the dark dragon pops out nicely against the light value behind it. I like the brighter colors too. It makes it look more happy.
