Hi Jennifer. I like how the texture on your house makes it look like real gingerbread. I would love to see you push it a little bit further by adding more gumdrops/candy/frosting onto the walls. Overall, this is a really nice piece. Good job.
I love the lighting on the boys face and the way the hair is painted. The color palette is really nice. Dani suggestion is a great one. Adding gum drops would be a great touch. I feel like the paths perspective may be off a bit or maybe the doors right end should come up a tad. . .I could be wrong though.
Wow, your talent and technique are amazing. I think it is terrific, but since you ask for critiques here are two thoughts: the chocolate bar path does seem just a little bit "off" in perspective as someone else noted. And I think the children seem on the old side. That is a very mature back Gretel is presenting to us. Hansel also appears older than in the tale, middle school or even early high school age (I have a son about that age), but perhaps this was part of the job specs? Anyway, it is just a terrific piece! I'm in awe.

Very nice details, I like youor version of a classic. Well done.
Very lovely work. I especially like the cottage and the details in the steps and candy canes leading your eye to the door.
Nice use of light and shadow. Good framing around the house. As always nice painting.
SUPERB!
Wow, love your illustration - reminds me of the classic illustrations from the fairytales.
Wow, wow and wow! Love this! And love all your works! I love all the details! You're a very fine artist, Jennifer!
Very professionally done. You captured a really cool mood here too.

Thanks Dani,
That helps a lot, I'll try and make it more decorative. :)
