Little Red

"Moral: REMEMBER Children, especially attractive, well bred young ladies, should never talk to strangers, for if they should do so, they may well provide dinner for a wolf. I say "wolf," but there are various kinds of wolves. There are also those who are charming, quiet, polite, unassuming, complacent, and sweet, who pursue young women at home and in the streets. And unfortunately, it is these gentle wolves who are the most dangerous ones of all."

This is one of my pieces i've been working on lately. If anyone has any advice or critiques on what could be done to make it better let me know!

I love this work, the girl is beautiful but I don't like the "human-like" wolf very much.. Why didn't you choose a more realistic one?
You are great anyway!

Beautiful piece, love to see you do "how to" sometime. I like the wolf's look, part human part man, it makes him scarier.

I like this a lot. The human wolf is a great play on the theme and fits the moral perfectly.

I love the wolf. Especially the suit and the stance against the tree. It makes the scene even scarier imagining what a human wolf would do to her instead. Very nice colors and textures.

This is fantastic. As others have said the atmosphere is incredible. Please keep the human-like wolf; it really does fit the piece well.

an amazing illustration; you've captured the real meaning of red riding hood. for another take on that subject check out roz fosters page.

looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Great illo here. I especially love the pose of Red Riding Hood. I graduated with Brandon Dorman, so we were in most of our illustration classes together. (In one of them we were the only students!)

With my story, I didn't really have to make up cool characters. I'm just retelling a story that actually happened to me. I had gigantic glasses during my mission in Argentina.

This painting is great. I really like the texture on red's dress. Your painting are great. My only comment is the some parts like the face and basket feel less finished than the hands. (Super great drawing on the hands though) The dress also feels more finished than the hood. The trees have a great feel. They really give the picture atmosphere and a sense of place.

Ok! Thanks so much for the critique!
